First report of Maize yellow mosaic virus infecting maize (Zea mays) in Ethiopia
Plant Disease 102 (5), 1044-1044
Abstract: During 2015 and 2016, maize plants grown in Ethiopia were surveyed for virus diseases. Out of a collection of 47 leaf samples, showing yellowing, whitish to yellowish stripes, and mosaic symptoms, around 70% reacted positive for Maize yellow mosaic virus. The identification was based on PCR analysis and nucleotide sequencing.
