First report of Phytophthora × multiformis on Alnus glutinosa in Spain

Abstract: During 2014, Alnus glutinosa trees growing in Spain were observed with crown dieback and mortality. Phytophthora ×multiformis was isolated from the diseased trees. Pathogenicity was demonstrated by inoculations and re-isolation.
