Abstract: During 2015, sugarcane and itch grass plants (Rottboellia cochinchinensis) growing in Nigeria were observed with mosaic symptoms. The presence of Maize yellow mosaic virus was demonstrated in the symptomatic plants using PCR analysis and nucleotide sequencing.
