Plant Disease 99 (9), 1290-1290
Abstract: During 2014, cassava plants (Manihot esculenta) grown in Zambia were observed with symptoms of cassava mosaic disease and 226 symptomatic cassava leaf tissue samples were collected and analyzed. The presence of African cassava mosaic virus and East African cassava mosaic Malawi virus was demonstrated in the symptomatic plants using specific antisera, PCR analysis and nucleotide sequencing.
