Abstract: During 2013, tomato plants grown in the Dominican Republic were observed with symptoms of chlorosis and plant stunting. The presence of Potato spindle tuber viroid was demonstrated in the symptomatic plants using specific antisera, PCR analysis and nucleotide sequencing.
