First report of Cucumber green mottle mosaic virus infecting greenhouse cucumber in Canada
Plant Disease 98 (5), 701-701
Abstract: During 2013, cucumber plants (Cucumis sativus) grown in Alberta, Canada were observed with symptoms of green mottle mosaic and necrotic spots. In the early infection, young leaves of infected cucumber plants displayed light green mottle and blisters. The infected plants were stunted in growth, with darker green blisters and green mottle mosaic symptoms on mature leaves. The presence of Cucumber green mottle mosaic virus was demonstrated in the symptomatic plants using PCR analysis and nucleotide sequencing.
