First report of Bean common mosaic necrosis virus (BCMNV) infecting sweet bean in Nepal
Plant Disease 97 (2), 290-290
Abstract: During 2010, sweet bean plants (Lablab purpureus) grown in Nepal were observed with symptoms of mottle and leaf deformation, severe mosaic and necrosis. The disease incidence in 20 fields was 60 to 70%. The presence of Bean common mosaic necrosis virus was demonstrated in the symptomatic plants using specific antisera, electron microscopy, PCR analysis and nucleotide sequencing.
