Abstract: During 2009, chickpea (Cicer arietinum) plants grown in Iran were observed with symptoms of yellowing and stunting. The presence of Chickpea chlorotic stunt virus was demonstrated in the symptomatic plants using specific antisera, PCR analysis and nucleotide sequencing.
