The occurrence of Bean common mosaic virus and Cucumber mosaic virus in yardlong beans in Indonesia
Plant Disease 94 (4), 478-478
Abstract: During 2008, yardlong bean (Vigna unguiculata subsp. sesquipedalis) plants grown in Java, Indonesia were observed with symptoms of severe mosaic (sometimes bright yellow), vein-clearing and deformed pods resulting in plant death. Disease incidence reached about 80%, with 100% yield loss. The presence of Bean common mosaic virus and Cucumber mosaic virus
was demonstrated in the symptomatic plants using specific antisera, PCR analysis and nucleotide sequencing.
