Abstract: During 2003, bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) plants grown in Morocco were observed with symptoms of pod mosaic and distortion and mild to severe mosaic on the leaves. The presence of Southern bean mosaic virus was demonstrated in the symptomatic plants using specific antisera and PCR analysis.
