Elm yellows phytoplasma lethal to Dutch elm disease-resistant Ulmus americana cultivars
Plant Disease 85 (5), 560-560
Abstract: Four Ulmus americana (American elm) cultivars know to be resistant against Ophiostoma novo-ulmi, were also screened for resistance to the elm yellows phytoplasma. Saplings planted in New York, USA were inoculated. The inoculation results varied from 3 of 13 to 9 of 9 infections among the 4 cultivars and did not produce evidence for the existence of resistance.
