Penicillium ulaiense H.M. Hsieh, H.J. Su & Tzean 1987 - (whisker mold)
This fungus is widespread and causes mold on citrus fruits in storage. The symptoms are similar to those caused by Penicillium italicum. However the species grows more slowly and the conidiophores form wisker-like threads up to 8 mm long, so-called coremia.
