Nigrospora sphaerica (Sacc.) E.W. Mason 1927
The fungus infects various crops, causing leaf spot and leaf blight diseases. It has been also reported to infect humans. The conidiophores are bent, hyaline to brown, and smooth, producing conidia at their tips. Conidia are black, oval to spherical, single-celled and have a diameter of about 8-12 µm.
