Meloidogyne paranaensis Carneiro et al., 1996 - (Paraná coffee root-knot nematode)

The nematode is found in South- and Central America. It infests mainly coffee plantations, resulting in stunting, leaf necrosis and sometimes plant death. Recommended management methods include crop rotation with non-host plants and resistant cultivars.
