Leptosphaerulina McAlpine 1902

This is a small genus of plant pathogenic fungi which includes Leptosphaerulina trifolii a species causing leaf spot of various leguminous crops like clover, soybean or alfalfa. The genus is closely related to Didymella and produces large, hyaline, longitudinally and transversally septated ascospores.
