Leptographium procerum (W.B. Kendr.) M.J. Wingf.
The fungus is found in eastern North America, Europe, eastern Asia and New Zealand. It is associated with white pine root decline and vectored between between pines, spruce and fir by beetles infesting the roots or collar of trees. For example, in China it is often found on the red turpentine beetle Dendroctonus valens.
