Kabatiella Bubák, 1907

The genus contains around 10 species of fungi, several of them causing diseases on crops. Economically the most important ones are Kabatiella caulivora infecting clover and K. zeae infecting maize. The genus shows many similarities to the genus Aureobasidium but most species of Kabatiella can be distinguished by forming sickle-shaped conidia.
