honey bee viruses
More than 20 honey bee viruses have been described, although some are closely related and might belong to the same species. Most of them have been slassified under the order Picornavirales and many persist in the bee hives without causing obvious symptoms, unless the honey bees are under stress. However, some of them cause economically very important diseases, like the Deformed wing virus or the Acute bee paralysis virus.
