Fusarium equiseti (Corda 1838) Sacc., 1886

This fungus species is mainly a plant pathogen, see Fusarium equiseti (plant pathogen). However, some non-pathogenic strains have been found that can be antagonistic to other fungi. These colonise for example the roots as endophytes and can help the plant to defend itself against plant pathogens.
