Dodder transmission of alder yellows phytoplasma to the experimental host Catharanthus roseus (periwinkle)
European Journal of Forest Pathology 27 (6), 347-350
Abstract: The alder yellows phytoplasma (ALY) was transmitted to the experimental host Catharanthus roseus (periwinkle) via dodder (Cuscuta odorata) bridges from naturally infected alder trees. The identity of the dodder-transmitted phytoplasma has been confirmed by restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) analyses of polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-amplified ribosomal DNA.
