PM 3/90 (1) Inspection of citrus fruits consignments
EPPO Bulletin 50 (3), 383-400
Abstract: This Standard describes the procedure by which consignments of citrus fruits are subjected to import control, including sampling and identification. This Standard covers fruits of Citrus L. and other genera of the plant family Rutaceae such as Fortunella Swingle, Poncirus Raf., Microcitrus Swingle, Naringi Adans, Swinglea Merr. and their hybrids. This Standard only covers the inspection of citrus fruit consignments without leaves and peduncles. Import of leaves or peduncles, including when in association with fruits, is prohibited in many EPPO countries, as they present a higher risk from a wider range of pests than fruits. The Standard also provides guidance that may be relevant to exports.
