Cucumber fruit mottle mosaic virus (CFMMV)
This virus was originally described from cucumber in Israel in 1992. The infected cucumber plants and fruits show mottling and mosaic symptoms. CFMMV has rod-shaped particles with a positive-sensed single-stranded RNA genome of around 6,500 nucleotides. On melon, typical symptoms include severe mosaic, veinbanding and yellow to dark green mottling.
