Cosmocomoidea ashmeadi (parasitoid) (Girault, 1915)

This wasp is a common and important egg parasitoid of Homalodisca vitripennis in North America. The female is around 1½ mm long (without antennae). It lives for about 6 months and can parsitize nearly 90 eggs during its lifetime (Irvin et al., 2014).
