Colletotrichum capsici (Syd.) E.J. Butler & Bisby 1931

This fungus is widely distributed in tropical and subtropical regions. It infects green pepper (Capsicum) and various other crops, causing anthracnose or leaf blight diseases. The yield of the crops can be affected.

Colletotrichum capsici has been regarded as a synonym for Colletotrichum truncatum by some authors.
