Cardamine (weeds) L. - (bittercress)

This genus contains more than 200 species of herbaceous plants. Several species are regarded as agricultural weeds, above all hairy bittercress, Cardamine hirsuta (weed) which affects cereals and other crops in various regions. The plants rarely grow to a height of 50 cm. The flower heads typically contain many small flowers, usually of a whitish or pinkish colour. The fruits are elongated and thin with a single row of seeds.
