Abstract: In Brazil, phytoplasma diseases have been described in association with several plant species, distributed among 28 botanical families, comprising wild and economically important species. Insect vectors involved in phytoplasmas transmission have not been identified yet, except for Dalbulus maidis, the vector of the phytoplasma associated with maize bushy stunt disease.
