Austral Thysanoptera: 100 years of progress
Austral Entomology 53 (1), 18-25
Abstract: An overview of the present state of knowledge of the insect order Thysanoptera in the four southern continents is provided. Knowledge of thrips biology and host associations has increased considerably in Australia, but not in the other three areas. The rich fauna of South America, particularly the southern areas, remains poorly explored, and faunal relationships across the Austral regions are not well documented.
